What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is the world’s largest movement to end cancer, started in 1985. It brings together communities in a powerful and emotional event to honour cancer survivors, remember those we’ve lost and fight back against the disease. Relay is more than just a walk — it’s a 4‑ to 24‑hour gathering where teams take turns walking to symbolize that cancer never sleeps. There’s food, fun, entertainment and activities to keep everyone energised and inspired.

It’s not a race — anyone can join. Whether you walk one lap or stay the whole time, your presence helps support the ongoing fight against cancer. Together, we Relay. Together, we fight back.
